Vendors, User Groups, and Schools
1. Distributors of Shareware whether profit or non-profit,
User Groups, and/or Schools MUST get written approval from Unique
Software to distribute ANY of our programs. No Vendor, nor
Distributor, nor User Group, nor School can assume to have Unique
Software's approval by any time default or lack of communication.
Failure to abide by this or any of our regulations will result in
continuing distribution rejection.
2. No price or consideration may be charged. However, a
distribution cost may be charged for the cost of the diskettes,
shipping, and handling, not to exceed $5 per diskette. (This $5
limit MAY be waived if valid argument can be made.)
3. The files and programs on the disks may not be modified or
deleted.
4. The programs cannot be sold as part of some other more
inclusive package.
5. The programs cannot be "rented" or "leased" to others.
6. The end user must be told CLEARLY in writing on the outside
of the package and in ALL advertising that the diskette(s) are
"Shareware" the terms "Freeware<tm>", "Free" are NOT acceptable
and violate Unique Software's License.
7. The package must contain a written explanation that the
diskettes are for evaluation purposes, and that an additional
"license fee" is due the author if they use the program beyond an
initial evaluation period of 30 days.
8. Shareware distribution is permitted only in the United
States, Canada, England, and Australia. Any distribution of this
program, or any of our programs is expressly prohibited in
countries where Shareware is considered invalid or illegal or
such distribution is considered as redefining Shareware as Public
Domain Software. Distribution is expressly prohibited to
TONEHALT, Ltd., Postbus 13500, 2501 EM, Den Haag, The Netherlands
and "Hobby Computer Club", aka H.C.C., in the Netherlands.
9. When this program is used on a network, one licensed copy
of the program must be purchased for each station that uses this
program.
10. After receipt of approval, distribution of any programs of
Unique Software is Vendor's, User's Group, or School's, whether
profit or non-profit, acceptance of the terms and conditions
contained in this document, VENDOR.DOC.
11. Approval of distribution to any Vendor, User Group, or
School may be withdrawn by Unique Software by written notice.
Vendors, User Groups, or Schools whether profit or non-profit
must immediately discontinue distribution of any programs
specified by Unique Software in such correspondence.
12. If you're copying the disks for distribution to students in
a classroom, you must provide them with the following written
notice:
